How do I migrate from Rediffmail to another email service?

Export emails from Rediffmail and migrate to Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or Zoho.

Migrating from Rediffmail

### Step 1 — Enable IMAP

mail.rediff.com → Settings → POP3/IMAP → Enable IMAP

### Step 2 — Choose Migration Method

**Option A — Thunderbird IMAP copy**

1. Install Mozilla Thunderbird

2. Add Rediffmail account (IMAP)

3. Add new email account (IMAP)

4. Select all emails in Rediffmail → Right-click → Copy to → New account folder

**Option B — New provider's migration tool**

  • Google Workspace: admin.google.com → Data migration → Email → Other IMAP
  • Microsoft 365: Admin centre → Migration → IMAP migration

### Rediffmail IMAP Settings

  • Server: imap.rediffmail.com | Port: 993 | SSL
  • Username: full email address

### Step 3 — Switch MX Records

After migration, point MX records to the new provider.

### Step 4 — Update Clients

Update Outlook, mobile apps, and services to use new SMTP settings.
