How do I install SSL (HTTPS) on my website?

Enable free Let's Encrypt SSL or install a paid SSL certificate on your hosting.

Installing SSL on Your Website

### Free SSL via Let's Encrypt (Recommended)

All webzworld hosting plans include free **Let's Encrypt SSL**. To activate:

1. Log in to **cPanel**.

2. Go to **Security** section → **SSL/TLS Status** or **Let's Encrypt SSL**.

3. Find your domain in the list.

4. Click **Run AutoSSL** or **Issue Certificate**.

5. Wait 2–5 minutes. SSL will be issued automatically.

### Force HTTPS Redirect

After SSL is installed, redirect all HTTP traffic to HTTPS:

**Option A — cPanel (Easy)**

cPanel → **Domains** → Enable **Force HTTPS Redirect** for your domain.

**Option B — .htaccess**

Add this to your **.htaccess** file in public_html:

```
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTPS} off
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [L,R=301]
```

### Paid SSL Certificates

If you need an EV, OV, or Wildcard SSL, contact us. We supply and install them for you.

### Troubleshooting SSL Issues

  • **Mixed content warning** — some images/scripts are loading on HTTP. Update all asset URLs to HTTPS.
  • **Certificate not trusted** — ensure the full certificate chain is installed.
  • **Expired SSL** — Let's Encrypt auto-renews every 90 days. If it fails, contact us.
