Before You Start – Pre-Transfer Checklist
- The domain must be at least 60 days old since registration or last transfer
- The domain must not be within 60 days of expiry
- Unlock the domain at your current registrar
- Get the EPP/Authorization code from your current registrar
- Make sure WHOIS contact email is accessible
Step 1 – Unlock the Domain
Log in to your current registrar and disable the "Domain Lock" or "Registrar Lock" setting.
Step 2 – Get the Authorization Code
Also called EPP code or transfer key. Find it in your domain control panel at the current registrar (usually under "Transfer" or "Auth Code").
Step 3 – Initiate Transfer at webzworld
1. Visit webzworld.com and go to Domain Transfer
2. Enter your domain name
3. Enter the authorization code
4. Add to cart and pay (transfers usually add 1 year to your registration)
Step 4 – Approve the Transfer
You will receive an email at your WHOIS contact email address asking you to confirm the transfer. Approve it promptly — transfers can otherwise take 5–7 days to auto-approve.
Step 5 – Transfer Complete
Once approved, your domain will be active in your webzworld account within 24 hours.
Will My Website Go Down?
No. DNS records are transferred with your domain. Your site will continue to work throughout the process.
